Michael James Wiese, 72, of Oshkosh, WI passed away Apr. 9, 2017 after an extended illness. He was born Sept. 13, 1944 in Sturgeon Bay, WI to the late Louis and Natalie (Holtermann) Wiese. Mike conquered many challenging sports throughout his life such as racing cars, motorcycles, boats, bareback bronc rodeo, national status tournament archer, and becoming a pilot. He graduated Florida Theological College in 1984 and became a Southern Baptist pastor, serving churches in Indiana and Sheboygan, WI. He enjoyed the outdoors by fishing, hunting, and after retirement just spending time on Lake Winnebago and at the family north woods cottage. He is survived by his wife Sheri (Edgell) and his children Tami (Brian) Brockhurst, Sarah (Michael) Stevens and Joshua (Emily Everard). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and his brothers Peter and Christopher and his sister Alyce LaFrancois, plus numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Paul and his son Matthew Wiese. Due to his love of the water and the lake a celebration of his life will be held at the Blanck's Lake Aire Supper Club, Fond du Lac, WI on Sat. Apr. 15th from 2:00-4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Michael's name.
