Milan Mitrovic of Winneconne died Thursday April 12, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center after multiple chronic illnesses.
Milan was born March 22, 1955 in Chicago, IL to the late Mary (Atzman) and Rajica Mitrovic. He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School and the University of Illinois-Chicago. On June 5, 2004 he married Terry (Piechowski) Lemerande.
Before retiring Milan was employed as a security guard, a body guard, karate instructor and a private investigator. Milan had a beautiful outlook on life, his compassion for others and his uplifting spirit even when the days weren't good for him were truly inspiring for many.
Milan loved to cook, and was a collector of kitchen gadgets. He also loved to travel with Terry; together they traveled to many parts of the United States as well as point's right here in Wisconsin. It wouldn't take much and Milan would be ready to go whether by their wheelchair van or flight. As long as he was feeling good-they went-including a recent trip to Ohio.
Milan also collected older guns. Milan was in the middle of getting his concealed carry permit before becoming ill. Milan and Terry are also Adult Foster Sponsors with Winnebago County now Lakeland Care District and thoroughly loved the people that lived with them.
Milan is survived by his wife Terry, a brother John Zoltek, Chicago, IL, Terry's family, many nieces and nephews and his four legged kids Magic, Pete and Oreo. He was predeceased by his parents and first wife Verna (Mendoza) Mitrovic.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at MMC, first and second floor, ICU, chaplains, ER, Sub-Acute and Rehab for everything they have done over the years. And thank you to Mary Lepinski of Network Health for everything.
The family will greet relatives and friends TODAY Saturday April 14, 2012 at Lakeview Memorial Park Chapel from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Father William Van De Kreke officiating.
