Milton "Milt" Lee Hershberger, age 83, passed away on April 3, 2025, in Oshkosh, WI. He was born on October 26, 1941, to parents Donald and Freda (Stocker) Hershberger, in Bussey, Iowa.
Milt moved with his parents to Wisconsin, where he attended Redgranite Grade School. In 1959, he graduated from Wautoma High School. In 1964, he entered the Army National Guard followed by the Army Reserves for a total of six years.
On August 12, 1965, he married the love of his life, Diane Schendel. Together, they raised three children. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling with Diane.
Milt worked at University Foundry, Oshkosh, the Berlin Foundry, and retired from Curwood-Bemis after 18 years in 2008 as a machine operator.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Hershberger; children, Chris (Margy) of Oshkosh, Tim of Spring Lake, and Karen (Isidro) Garza of Oshkosh; 10 grandchildren, Dylan Hershberger, Brianna Hershberger, Josh (Sarah) Hershberger, Alex Hershberger, Nathan Hershberger, Katlyn Hershberger, Zach Garza, Nick Garza and Brittany Garza; 2 great-grandchildren, Skylar and Raelyn. He is further survived by his sisters, Maxine (Tom) Mertens of Berlin and Jane (Dale) Schaumberg of Fond du Lac; sisters-in-law, Linda Hershberger and Kathy Hershberger; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Donald Hershberger, Larry Hershberger, Lonnie Hershberger and Tom Hershberger; and sister-in-law, Carol Hershberger.
