Nancy Jane McDaniel (Massino), age 81, passed away at her home in Winneconne, Wednesday morning, June 29th, 2005. She was the beloved wife of Derrald "Mac" John McDaniel of Winneconne. Mother of Patrick (Mary) McDaniel of Fitchburg, Pamela (Donald) Bowen of Racine, Tim (Diane) McDaniel of Santa Monica, California, Terrence (Lori) McDaniel of Oshkosh and the late Chris Michael McDaniel of Winneconne.

Loving Grandmother of Colleen (John Roberts) McDaniel of Denver, Colorado, Heather (Matthew) Skaggs of Racine, Ryan McDaniel of Fitchburg, Zachary and Mason McDaniel of Oshkosh. Special Great Grandmother of Cameron Skaggs of Racine.

Nancy Proudly served her country as a Specialist First Class in the U.S. Navy in World War II. During this time, Nancy and Derrald met and fell in love. They married on April 25th, 1946. Nancy was exceptionally active in her community. She was LD-assistant in the Winneconne school system and a Girl Scout leader. She worked on the library committee and was the secretary treasurer for the Poygan-Poy Sippi Sanitary District #1. Nancy was an avid reader, gardener, bird watcher, and Major league Packer Fan.

Nancy's love of life, story telling ability, and humor will be greatly missed.

Visitation for Nancy was held July 7th, 2005 from 9:00 to10:30 AM at St Mary's Catholic Church, 201 Pleasant Dr., Winneconne. A Mass followed at 10:30 AM with Rev. Leroy Smet officiating. Burial was heldimmediately after the service at St Thomas Cemetery in the town of Poygan.
