Obituary

Norma E. Ullmann, age 86, passed away Saturday evening, July 23rd 2016 at The Waterford in Oshkosh. She was born on January 14th, 1930 to Ernest and Lizette (Derber) Raddatz, whom both died while Norma was an infant and she was adopted by Walter and Linda Laatsch. Norma was the youngest of four children. She had three brothers; Royal, Homer and Allan; and a sister, June. Although she was raised as an only child she remained in contact with her siblings and their families until they passed away.Norma married Wallace Ullmann on September 1st, 1951 and they resided in De Pere, WI until 1962, when they moved to Oshkosh, WI. In 1964 they bought a cottage in Star Lake, WI, which they enjoyed spending time at with their son and twin daughters. Norma enjoyed fishing, berry picking and collecting rocks to make her flower gardens. She also loved baking, reading, animals (especially dogs) and driving her convertibles. She was a homemaker until her kids were in high school and after that she worked in the office at Miles Kimball for many years until her retirement. After she retired, she enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Norma was a member of First English Lutheran Church of Oshkosh and also a member of Sheppard of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Star Lake, WI. Norma is survived by her devoted husband, Wallace E. Ullmann; her children, James (Susan) Ullmann of Neenah, WI; Kathryn (Theodore) Freiberg of Oshkosh and Kathleen Wojahn of Wautoma, her grandchildren; Tanya, Chelsea, Paige and Dawson Freiberg, Sarah and Shaylyn Wojahn, great grandchildren; Sofia, Oliver and Sawyer. We cherish the memories we had with her and she will be loved and missed by all of us. We also want to thank the staff at The Waterford for the outstanding and loving care she received.A memorial/celebration of life service will be held at Wyldewood Club House, 101 Wyldewood Drive in Oshkosh on Sunday, August 7th from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
