Patricia Ann Millay Popp, age 75, passed on to Heaven, Friday, September 25, 2015 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Alzheimer's, and dementia. Born March 25, 1940 to Mary (Holland) Millay and Joseph Millay in Stanley, Kentucky, Patricia met and married the love of her life, Stephen C. Popp on February 15, 1969. They have resided in Appleton, WI for the last 46+ years. Patricia was employed at and retired from AMC/ThedaCare after 28 years of dedicated service. Patricia enjoyed the finer things in life. She took great joy in spending time with her family and friends. She absolutely adored her two grandsons and her dogs, Bandit and Patches.Patricia liked to spend time fishing, camping and gardening. She liked to play games on Pogo and go coffee clutching with her friends. You could always find her reading a cook book or creating a masterpiece in the kitchen. Patricia was a terrific cook and she always had a way with words! Patricia is survived by her husband Steve; her daughter Katrina Hoffman; son-in -law David Hoffman; grandsons Kristjian and Noah Hoffman; a brother Robert(Karyl) Millay; a sister at heart, Bertha Shelton; a brother-in-law, Paul Busse; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; special friends Alyssa Hilker, Bonnie and Gerald Blink, Brenda Griener, and Sheral Straughter. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Joseph Millay, a sister Mary Busse, and a brother Martin Millay. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Cherry Meadows, Theda Care Hospice, and Good Shepherd Services for the wonderful care they provided Patti during her last days. A memorial service will be held in honor of Patricia on October 8, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Peabody Manor/Cherry Meadows, 2600 S. Heritage Woods Dr., Appleton, Wisconsin, 54914 with Chaplain James Frank presiding. A celebration of Patti's life will be held at her daughter's home after the service for family and friends. Everyone that loved Patricia knew her as "Granny". Granny/Mom you brought so much joy and laughter to all of our lives, always putting us first. We love you beyond words and miss you more than can be measured.
