Obituary
Paul Douglas Jernigan, age 59, passed away with his family by his side on June 29, 2024, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He was born to parents Charles and Martha Ann (Dickerson) Jernigan on February 18, 1965, in Clearwater, TN.
Paul worked as a dairy farmer up until recently. In 2015, he married Mary Simmons in Florida. Together they were inseparable.
He enjoyed working with his hands, especially fixing cars, trucks and farm equipment. Often he could also be found watching car restoration shows on T.V. Paul will be remembered for being a happy, lucky man.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jernigan; four children; 20 grandchildren; three sisters; five brothers; brothers-in-law, James Simmons and Murphy (Marie) Simmons; nephew, Michael Simmons, and many other family.
Preceding him in death was his parents, Charles and Martha Ann (Dickerson) Jernigan.
Per his wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his honor.
The family would like to thank SSM Health at Home Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
