Obituary
On September 26 Paul Jacob Matsche passed away at home with his family by his side. He was born June 11, 1942 in Oshkosh WI.
Paul is survived by his wife of 56 years, Christine (Baker) Matsche and three Daughters, Paula (Rob) Osburn of Omro, Lisa (Chuck) Anderson of Oshkosh and Michelle Matsche of Oshkosh. He cherished his role as Grandfather to Amanda Paulick, Sam (Emily) Paulick, Alex (Kilee) Crawford and Robbie Osburn as well as his eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Sue (Lex) Huber of Omro and his two nephews, Steve and Jeff Huber.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Evelyn (Matsche) Lex; his brother-in-law, Alois Huber; and his sister-in-law, Marianne Baker.
Paul retired after 20 years of service from the United States Air Force. He then went on to work for Pepsi Beverages Co of Oshkosh where he retired after 25 years. He then enjoyed many years of being able to travel and garden with his wife Christine.
Paul and Christine enjoyed being active members of the Mason St. Church of Christ. Christine and family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to their church family and to Aurora at Home Hospice Care nurses, Jodi and Angie
A memorial service for Paul will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11:30 am at the Mason Street Church of Christ, 2600 N Mason St., Appleton, WI 54914. Visitation will be held from 10:30 am until the time of the service.
