Peter H. Olsen, age 71, passed away at Mercy Medical Center on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. He was born in Oshkosh on August 5, 1942, the son of the late Howard and Rose Olsen. On June 26, 1993 he married Joan Pernaski in Oshkosh. Pete was a carpenter and driver for Marquart Millwork, and also worked for Do-It Center and Millwork Distributors. He liked gardening, T.V. and computer, the sport clubs at Van Dyne and Springbrook, early morning coffee with his buddies at the truck stop, and weekly breakfasts with friends. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family, and spoiling Keefer, his youngest grandson.

Peter is survived by his wife, Joan; Joan's children: Richard (Kim) Stapleton of Omro and Kathy Stapleton of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Kyle, Karri and Keefer Stapleton; sister, Paulette (Michael) Lewis; sister and brother-in-law: Janet (Jim) Puckett and Michael (Carol) Pernaski; and nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at COUNTRYSIDE CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 1483 Burr Oak Rd., on the corner of Hwy. 44, Oshkosh, on Monday, July 21, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dan Wetzel officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Pete's name is being established.
