Raymond M. Pegel, age 67 of Oshkosh, passed away Friday July 11, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Oshkosh on February 2, 1941 the son of the late Raymond and Dorothy Smith Pegel. Butch worked at Pluswood for over thirty years, enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, golfing, picnics, remote control car racing, spending time with his family, was active in Boy Scouts and liked watching NASCAR. He is survived by his three children, Serena (Kurt) Smith, Oshkosh, Jay (Karen) Pegel, Orlando, FL, Raymond Pegel, Oshkosh, five grandchildren, Richard, Desiree, Raymond, Paige and Kendall, two sisters, June Schierl, Ohio, Mary (Hubert) Lawson, Wabeno, WI, special friend Mary Jo, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Butch was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Rose Schmidt, and three half-brothers, Eugene, Evan and Jerry Pegel. Visitation for Butch will be held on Wednesday July 16, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at noon, at Fox Cities Funeral Home. Interment will follow the services at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial for Butch is being established.
