Obituary

Renate C. Piotter, 89, passed away peacefully at home in Oshkosh, WI on May 26, 2025. She was born December 11, 1935, to Luise and Alfred Abraham in Germany.

She married Alfred Piotter on March 15, 1959. Together they raised three children. Renate loved to go to the cabin up north, play cards, garden and enjoy weekly lunches with friends. She also enjoyed knitting, reading and volunteering at the hospital gift shop.

Renate was a very caring individual, known for her generosity and excellent listening skills. She will be remembered as a loving and thoughtful human being who put others before herself.

She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Alfred W. Piotter; children, Rita (Jeffrey) Dahl, Andreas (Debbie) Piotter and Frank (Jody) Piotter; grandchildren, Christian Dahl, Clinton (Shana) Piotter, Hudson (Caitlin) Piotter, Joshua (Shauna Brown) Piotter and Justin Piotter; great-grandchildren, Brody, Casey, Adelyn and Theia. She is further survived by her sisters, Anita (Dieter) Lallinger and Rita (Bert) Gastager.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Alfred and Luise; and her grandson, Nathan Dahl.

A celebration of life will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2450 W. 9 th Street, Oshkosh, WI 54904 on Saturday May 31 with a visitation from 9am to 10:30am and services to follow.

A memorial is being established.
