Richard "Reindeer" Roy Reinders, age 85, passed away on the early morning of June 4, 2024, in Neenah, Wisconsin. He was born to parents Herbert and Geraldine (Goodman) Reinders on October 18, 1938, in Wisconsin.
Shortly after high school, he enlisted to serve his country in the United States Army. During his service he trained to be called to active duty if needed for the Cuban Missile Crisis and continued in the National Guard. He also was a member of the 32nd Infantry Red Arrow Division.
Richard enjoyed cooking, going to Friday Fish Fries, hunting, fishing, woodworking and taking motorcycle trips with Doc to Sturgis and Speed Week. He also loved watching the Bucks, Badgers, Packers and Brewers. You could also find him often supporting the troops and was an avid union member. Richard will be remembered for being a kind and giving man.
He also had love for both the Bee Hive Barn and Grill and the ICU Lounge in Neenah. In fact, he was so fond of the ICU Lounge and his Wednesday Foundry Buddies that his Celebration of Life will be held there at a later date.
He is survived by his eight children, Rick, Randy, Ron, Russ, Rob, Ray, Tracey and Dawn; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia, Karen and Barbara; many nieces, nephews and friends. Further survived by "Lumpy," the squirrel, who will miss him dearly.
Preceding him in death was the love of his life, Lorraine Englert-Reinders; parents, Herbert and Geraldine; grandson, Jeremy Reinders; brother, Rodney; and daughter-in-law, Sandra McHugh.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Croix Hospice for all their care while taking care of him. Your kindness did not go unnoticed.
