Robert A. Mahdik, age 89, of Neenah, passed over peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at home surrounded by the love of his family. "Bobby" was born on February 28, 1924, the youngest of seven siblings, the son of George and Katherine. Bob served our country during WWII; an honored veteran. He was particularly proud of his work at SC Johnson & Son of Racine, where he retired after forty years of loyal service.
In his younger years Bob enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing, golfing and biking. He was a family man, and a hard worker who could build just about anything. But more than all of that, he was the essence of love, the unconditional always present kind of love that saves, heals and endures. He was a kind and gentle soul with not a mean word to say about anyone ever; Bob would spread his waves and smiles near and far.
Robert was the beloved father of three daughters; Rebecca Horien-Mahdik of Neenah, Kristine McGough of Clyde, OH and Bonnie Smith of Sturtevant, and also a loving father of choice of Ana Rivera of Appleton. He was grandfather of Charles Horien of Neenah, Katie (Scott) Presutti of Sheboygan, Bobby Mahdik of San Diego, CA, David McGough of Clyde, OH, John Smith of Sturtevant, and Kelly Church of Racine. He was great grandfather to Madison Horien of Neenah, Anthony, Tanner, and Taryn Presutti of Sheboygan.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings; Marian, John, Katherine, Joe, Andy and Anne. He was further preceded in death by many much loved family members and friends.
