Also survived by a brother, Richard Pagel of Oshkosh; brothers and sisters-in-laws; nieces; nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was an avid sportsman, fishing on Lake Winnebago, Peshtigo River and other smaller lakes up north; deer hunting in Brule and the Lakewood area. He really enjoyed the times he spent with his buddies, friends and family at the Lakewood cabin. In his later years, he spent many hours in his domain, "the Boat House" carving decoys, tinkering with small projects and having an occasional beer. If you were looking for a part or piece for something, his answer was, "ya, I got one of those around here somewhere," and by golly, he did!Dad bought my first gun when I was ten years old, a 4.10 shotgun. I still have it, sixty years later. I remember hunting out on the farm, fishing all day long for hours, putting the swingset up in the dark, going to the races, catching night crawlers at South Park using flashlights, taking us for Sunday rides after sports were over. –MarciaGoing hunting, fishing – Dad always patiently untangling our fishing lines. He showed us how to fillet fish and clean the ones we caught. Loved it when he came home from work and gave Mom a big hug, while we hung on his legs. – DianneThanks Dad for always being there for me, your unconditional love, and for marrying the best gal in town! – LindaThanks Dad for all the help and guidance through the years whenever I needed it. Hope you continue to help from above on the projects we never got to finish together. – TonyMy best memories were time spent being my Dad's hunting dog. Afterwards, the reward was a KitKat and a soda. I also enjoyed being together with him out fishing in the boat and never yelling at me when my lure got stuck in the motor. – LoriSame here
