Robert “Bob” Charles Plante Sr., age 71, passed away with family by his side on July 6, 2026, in Menasha, Wisconsin. He was born to parents, Alphonse J. and June E. (Jones) Plante on August 11, 1954, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was one of seven children.
He attended Oshkosh North High School and then entered into the United States Marines in 1971. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam Era.
On July 31, 1978, he married the love of his life, Joanne Denny. Together, they raised four children.
In his free time, he enjoyed listening to music, watching the Packers beat the Bears, building model cars, working on different types of vehicles, fishing and camping at his favorite spot on Green Lake. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family.
He will be remembered for being a supportive and loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and friend. He was magnetic, he listened more than he spoke and he loved without judgement. His patience was his strength and kindness was his superpower. His favorite color as he said was “pink with purple polka dots,” and his Dad jokes were the best.
