Robert A. Techlow Jr. age 54, died peacefully Wednesday September 16, 2009 at Aurora Medical center in Oshkosh after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bob was born in Oshkosh on December 13, 1954 the son of the late Robert and Erma (Engle) Techlow Sr.. He graduated from Oshkosh West high school in 1974 and married his high school sweetheart on November 15, 1974. Bob enjoyed fishing, reading, baking, building model cars, and most of all he enjoyed his delivery job for Standard Dry Cleaning and looked forward to going back right up until the end.
He is survived by his wife Rose, his four children: Bob (Michelle), Jeremy (Angie), Brian (Hattie), Amanda (Chris), eleven grandchildren: Kyle, Samantha, Lexy, Jacob, Brittney, Morgan, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Keegan, Abbigail, Conner, and also Aaleiyah who he considered to be a grandchild. He is also survived by five sisters: Carol (John), Sharon (Russ), Jean (Bob), Sandy (Terry),Cheryl (Dean), a special aunt Clariss, many nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
A Memorial Service for Robert will be held on Friday September 25, 2009, at 4:00 pm at Fox Cities Funeral Home with Pastor Martin Ruge officiating. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home on Friday from 3:30 pm until time of services at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in Bob's name.
The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and hospital staff that were involved in Bob's care during his illness, a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Vince Lombardi clinic, and the Aurora VNA hospice staff, for all the wonderful care and compassion that was given to Bob and his family. Bob will be greatly missed by his family and many others. We love you, you were a strong man that fought right up until the end, rest in peace.
