Obituary

Robert "Bob" G. Thompson, age 67, passed away on November 4, 2023, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was born on July 23, 1956, to parents, Thomas and Katherine (Schuster) Thompson in California.

Bob was a CNA while in college, and was able to obtain his master's degree in accounting and business management at Marquette College (Go Golden Eagles). He then stepped up to take care of his aging parents and in-laws during their time of need. Bob also was a 20-year president of the Meadowbrook Condo Association, where he resided as an original owner, until he was struck down by five different stage four cancers in 2019.

On July 7, 2007, he married the love of his life, Donna, Pool Side at Meadowbrook. They raised four wonderful boys together. He shared his passion for golfing, shooting guns, and fishing with them. He was a collector of over 800 Blues and Rock-n-roll CD's. He also enjoyed gambling at the casino with his wife, hanging out with family around the campfire on the farm, and spending time with his brothers across the country from HLMC.

Bob is heartbrokenly survived by his wife, Donna (Hankins) Thompson; his children, Randy (Ashley) Buchanan, Wyatt Buchanan, Jerrid (significant other, Jessica J.) Buchanan and Tyler (Lydia) Buchanan; grandchildren, Aspen and Mia; sister-in-law, Donna J. Thompson; special niece, Sadona (Significant other, Ben) Thompson; and many other family and friends; but most of all, his dog child, Black Diamond Kate AKA "Katie."

Preceding him in death are his parents; and brother, Mark Thompson in 2019; and his aunt-in-law, Cathy Wandasega.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Fox Cities Funeral Home, 3026 Jackson St., Oshkosh, Wisconsin, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Please feel free to send cards to the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at ThedaCare Cancer Center, as well as a very special thank you to Dr. Rimas Janusonis, of Oshkosh, Dr. Tiffany Glazer, of UW Madison, and the ENT floor staff at UW Madison, for their excellent care given during their time of need. They are also grateful for the support all his friends and neighbors have provided during and after his passing.

Bob was also recognized as a "lover like no other," of the Hells Lover MC, and will be greatly missed- BFFL.
