Robert J. “Bucky” Winton, 77, passed away on January 22, 2026. He was born in Wisconsin to parents, Lillian (Baker) and James Winton on September 10, 1948.
Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1971 during this time, he met and was married to Gloria Paulick. He worked at Banner in Oshkosh and then worked as a painter and was self-employed doing both interior and exterior painting. Bob enjoyed deer hunting, spending time with his family and never missed any of his boys’ sporting events. He will be remembered for his resourcefulness, his thoughtful nature and his kind heart.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gloria Winton; sons, Robbie Winton and Garret (A.G.) Winton; granddaughter, Alayna Winton; sisters, Sandy (Eddie) Zink and Carrie Winton.
Bob is preceded by his parents, James and Lillian; sister, Shirley Longsine; and close friend Ray Redlin.
A celebration of life will be held at Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 1pm to 3pm and military honors taking place by the flag pole at 2:45pm.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his honor.
