Ronald "Ron" W. Markin, age 71, passed away on January 16, 2024, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was born on August 6, 1952, to parents, Annesta Blossom (Stevens) and Pearl Augustus in Ohio.
Ron served in the US Army after high school during the Vietnam War. He then went on to begin his working career as a painter.
He met the love of his life Anita Foster in Springfield, Ohio, and they recently celebrated their 45
th
wedding anniversary. They honored their vows together until the final vow, "death do us part." Together, they raised two children.
He enjoyed listening to music, especially rock and roll. He was a fan of history and current events. He was a proud Republican. Most of all, he will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
Ron is survived by wife, Anita; children, Rachel Marie Koeller, and Tyler Lee Markin; grandchildren, Genevive Yvonne Koeller, and Cassius Anthony Koeller; many close friends; and his beloved pets (the girls).
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Per his wishes, no services will be held. Please take a moment to remember Ron and say goodbye in your own personal way. Memorials in his honor can be made to a Veteran organization of your choice.
