Russell G. Handy Jr., age 82, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. He was born in Oshkosh on March 4, 1940 the son of the late Russell and Eleanor (Phillip) Handy Sr. On November 13, 1965 he married his wife of 57 years, Sharon Techlow, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oshkosh. Russ was proud to serve in the U.S. Navy from 1958 – 1962. He was an audio-video technician with the Oshkosh Area School District, retiring in 2002. Russ enjoyed puttering with everything electrical. He could be found camping with his wife at Pineland Camping Park where they enjoyed many summers. Russ will be remembered for always being available to help people and for being able to "charm the pants off" anyone.

Russ is survived by his wife, Sharon; children: Russell (Tracy) Handy III and Lisa Handy; grandchildren: Nicholas and Tyler Handy and Brianna Pierce; sisters: Donna (Jim) Schuchardt, twin sister, Rose Marie Miranda and Barbara Handy; many nieces and nephews; and fur baby, Izzy.
