Ruth Dorothy Metzig, who loved to be called "Ruthie," "Mom," "Grandma," and "GG," peacefully departed her loving family on September 2, 2022 at the Island Shores Retirement Community in Neenah, Wisconsin.

Ruth was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, to Henry Frimark and Mildred Holdrick on January 13, 1927.

She enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, taking walks, traveling, knitting, reading, puzzling, and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband of seventy-one years, Victor Metzig; her daughter, Diane and husband Greg Schmidt of Neenah, Wisconsin; her son, David and his wife Ruby Metzig of O'Fallon, Missouri; five grandchildren: Lesley, Michael, Michelle, Carl, and Samuel; and seven great grandchildren: Lyla, Valerie, Dominic, Bella, Mateo, Giovany, and Gianni.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynne Louise Metzig.

A visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at First United Methodist Church, 108 West Doty Avenue, Neenah, Wisconsin.
