Sandra Lee Moore

Sandra “Sandie” Lee Moore, age 82, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026. In her final days, she was surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Sandie was born on August 20, 1944, to the late Frank and Margaret (Solie) Harris.
Sandie dedicated much of her professional life to providing care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, a role that reflected her compassionate and caring nature.
Sandie married the love of her life, John Moore, in 1978. Together they built a life centered on family, friendship and shared adventures. John's career took the couple to California, where they spent seven memorable years together before returning to Wisconsin. Many of Sandie's happiest memories were spent with John at their campsite, enjoying relaxing weekends surrounded by
friends and family. The two also enjoyed countless trips to Laughlin with family and friends, sharing laughter, making memories and always hoping the next pull of the slot machine would bring a big win. John preceded her in death in 2016.
Family was the heart of Sandie’s life. She cherished bringing loved ones together and looked forward to hosting Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas each year. Her home was always open, and the holidays were filled with warmth, laughter and treasured memories. When she wasn’t
spending time with family, Sandie could often be found with a good book in hand, as reading was one of her favorite pastimes.
Sandie's love for cats was well known to all who knew her, and there was rarely a time when a
beloved cat was not part of her family. Sandie's cats were never the simple kind. She had a knack for taking in those with big personalities, health challenges, or habits that tested everyone's
patience but her own. No matter their quirks, each was deeply loved and well cared for.
Sandie is lovingly survived by her children, Randal Lee and Steven (April Zink) Lee; grandchildren, Christopher (Jessica) Lee, Stephanie Miller, Michael (Shannon) Lee, Kara (David) Waters, Alex, John and Macey Lee; great-grandchildren, Ella and Hudson Lee, Kytairra, Bentleigh and Kashtyn Miller, Prince Wright, Colton, Grayson and Griffin Lee, Oscar, Henry and Owen Waters; brother,
Michael (Karen) Harris; nephew, John (Sarah) Harris; and niece, Sunshine (Hank) Vissers.
Sandie was preceded in death by her husband, John Moore; and her parents, Frank and Margaret Harris.
Sandie’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, caregivers and staff at Evergreen Retirement Community and Aurora Medical Center for the extraordinary care, kindness and compassion they showed Sandie and her family. A special thank you is extended to April, for the many hours she spent with Sandie during her final months. Her love, companionship, and support were a tremendous comfort to Sandie and deeply appreciated by the family.
