Obituary
Sandra Peterson, 76, of Oshkosh, passed away on November 12, 2024, after a brave ten-year fight with Ovarian cancer. Sandra was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her kindness, unwavering love, and warm presence that brightened the lives of everyone around her.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Peterson; her son, John (Amanda) Peterson; and her beloved granddaughter, Harper Peterson; all of Oshkosh. Sandra is also survived by her sister, Sue (Ken) Maciejewski; and her brother, Tom (Natalie) Abler; both of Fond du Lac, as well as her cherished nieces, nephews, and five "bonus daughters," who each held a special place in her heart. She is also survived by her fur babies, Barney and Gracie.
Sandra was predeceased by her parents, Adolph and Gladys Abler; her dear friend, Jim Peterson; and other dear family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society, an organization close to Sandra's heart.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the wonderful staff at ThedaCare Oncology and ThedaCare Hospice for the exceptional care they provided throughout her entire fight.
