Sharon E. Cheesman, age 59, passed away Wednesday evening, September 14, 2011, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 29, 1952 in Milwaukee, the daughter of John and Effie (Steward) Mullins. Sharon grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from High School there. Following graduation, she moved to Ohio where she met and married her husband, Vernon Cheesman. The strength and depth of their love over the 40 years they were together was an inspiration to all that knew them. In 1980 they moved to Campbellsport and later on Sharon had worked for Quality Packaging in Fond du Lac. She enjoyed playing pool, computer games and scrabble. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed all times spent with them. Sharon was a caring and giving person who would put the needs of others before herself. When she was diagnosed with cancer, she cut her hair and donated it to the Locks of Love Program. She also participated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life with her friend, Judy.
Sharon is loved and will be missed by her husband, Vernon; children, Jason (Kim Olson) Cheesman of Plainfield, IL, Nicole (Joshua) Wilke of Oshkosh, and Bruce Cheesman of Fond du Lac; grandson, Anakin; step grandchildren, Jessi, Jori, Lexi, T.J. and Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
In keeping with Sharon's wishes, a celebration of life gathering has already been held.
The family would like to thank Agnesian Home Hospice for their care and concern and would also like to thank Tammy Winton for all the love and support she has given to Sharon and the rest of the family over the last few years.
Memorials in Sharon's name may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life.
