Obituary

Sharon Marie Mather, aged 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee. She was born to the late Delue and Mildred Lane on July 8, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI. Sharon was a real estate agent in Oshkosh for over 25 years, an active member of the community, and former middle school catechism teacher at St. Raphael's. She was an avid reader, tennis player, and she and her husband loved to travel. Sharon will be forever remembered for her vivacious personality, kind heart, selflessness, courage, and strength. She had the ability to make those around her feel special and she was always there to listen. Sharon was a natural storyteller and had the ability to grab your attention with her beautiful laugh that we will never forget. Sharon had a strong faith, appreciated the simple things in life, and never took anything for granted. Above all else she was very devoted to her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.Sharon is survived by her husband, James Mather, daughter Kathleen Hamdan, step-children, Amy Mather, Joel Mather, Michael (Connie) Lewandowski and Elizabeth Lewandowski, grandchildren, Eyas Hamdan, Natalie Lewandowski and Gage Lewandowski, brother, Michael (Gail) Lane, niece, Candice Lane, and best friend of 52 years (who was like her sister) Katie Vanden Heuvel. Visitation and mass will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Dr., Oshkosh. A reception will be held to greet family and friends at 10:00am followed by a mass at 12:00pm.
