Obituary

On Friday, August 31, 2012, we lost our mom, grandma, and sister but heaven gained an angel. Shirley Hittman, age 77, passed away at home in the loving presence of her family. Born on July 26, 1935, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Ray and Letha Fuller. Shirley was a 1953 graduate of Oshkosh High School.
Many interests vied for Shirley's time and some of her favorites were; crossword puzzles, casino trips, rummage sales, skits and plays, and the occasional "adult beverage". Her greatest love was the time spent with her family, especially the time spent with her family, especially the time with the kids, playing cards and games. Two phrases that were always heard at her house were; "Grandma, can I sleep over?" and "Whatever."
Left to mourn Shirley's passing are her children, Debbie(Bob Knorr) Hinske, Doug (Debbie) Poeschl, Patty (Jon Van Den Bogart) Poeschl, Jimmer (Jean) Poeschl, Mary (Todd) Krueger, Scott (Melissa) Hittman, and Christopher (Karrie) Hittman; extended family, Ronni Berglund and Vicki (Mike) Roeder, 23 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Audrey Roberts, a brother, Jack (Mary) Fuller; two sisters in law, Bernice Fuller and Jean Fuller, and a special cousin Betty Simons.
Preceding Shirley in death is her husband, Jim Hittmann, her parents, ray and Letha Fuller and three brothers; Norm Fuller, Bob "Mose" Fuller, and Jerry Fuller.
An open house celebration of Shirley's life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the South Side Ice Yacht Club. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
Thank you to all the health care providers who took such good care of our mom through her final journey.
