Steven "Steve" Robert Smith, age 71, passed away on July 12, 2024, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin surrounded by his loved ones. He was born to parents Leslie and Doris (Sharpe) Smith on July 12, 1953.

After high school, Steve went into the United States Army, serving for three years during the Vietnam War. Later on, he held various maintenance positions until retirement. Steve met Diane in 1992, they married in 1993, and together they were blessed with raising two daughters. They created many memories with their girls. In 1997, Steve was given a second chance- a life saving kidney from Diane. They remained close friends for the rest of his life.

Steve loved watching his daughters grow and start families of their own. Steve adored spending time with his four grandchildren. In his free time, he could often be found at the lake cottage, carving wood, fishing, and visiting with friends while drinking his favorite beverage- Coca Cola. He will be remembered for his caring and loving heart and will be deeply missed.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Emily (Myron) Smith and Zoe (Justin) Neuerbaum; grandchildren, Cadence, Kriscilly, Aaliyah and Henry; sisters, Julie Smith and Mary (Bob) Holmstadt; niece, Melanie Johnson; nephew, Patrick Smith; mother of his children, Diane; best friends, Dave and Jessie, as well as many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Doris (Sharpe) Smith; and his brother, Peter Smith.

Per his wishes, no service will be held.In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his honor.
