Obituary
Susan K. Garthwaite, age 71, passed away on April 28, 2025, in Fond du Lac, WI. She was born on September 17, 1953, to parents Robert Lee and Betty Jane (Snell) Burdick, in Oshkosh, WI.
She graduated from Oshkosh West High School. On July 12, 1975, she married the love of her life, John Garthwaite in the Algoma Boulevard United Methodist Church.
Susan worked as a caterer, seamstress and doing many different tasks at an adult care center. She met many great friends and clients along the way.
In her free time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, making crafts and doing crochet projects.
She is survived by her daughter, Katie (Adam) Comens; sisters, Patricia (Michael Flood) Schroeder, and Mary Burdick; brother, John Burdick; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, John Garthwaite; parents, Robert Lee and Betty Jane (Snell) Burdick; sister, Bonnie Webb; niece, Amber Bushman; and nephews, Robert Lewellyn and Kyle Schroeder.
Service details will be determined at a later time.
