Thomas "Tom" H. Brunover, age 79, passed away, surrounded by his family at home, on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. He was born in Oshkosh on August 2, 1935 the son of the late Harold and Margaret (Heppler) Brunover. On September 4, 1965 he married Carola Jean Butzlaff at Grace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Tom worked as a mason for 35 years. In retirement, he enjoyed driving school bus for special education students at Kobossen. He enjoyed golf, John Wayne movies, the Packers, shopping at Menard's, and especially Christmas with the family. Tom is survived by his wife, Carrie; children: Mary LaSelle, Margee (Mark) Hoppe, David Brunover and John (Margie) Brunover; grandchildren: Kelli (Brian) Johnson, Lisa Laselle, Matthew Laselle, Jennifer (Rich) Mooney, Paulette (Corey) Hopper, Joshua Laselle, Merriwether (Ryan) Napier, Brandon Hoppe and Mercedes Brunover; great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Luke and Isaiah; sister, Judy (Gill) Wolfe; aunts, Sr. Jean Heppler and Madge Brunover; and nieces and nephews: Tim and Terry Wolf, and Micki Holt.The memorial service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 1306 Michigan St., Oshkosh, with Reverend Andi Wolf officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.The family would like to thank Aurora at Home Hospice for their wonderful care.
