Werner Fritz Sielemann, age 94, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at home with family after a short illness. He was born in Brachwede, Westphalia, Germany on February 10, 1924 to the late Adolf and Emmy (Niedich) Sielemann. Werner learned a trade as an electrician and served as a Radio Operator in the Submarine Service during WWII. He married Gisela Birgel and they immigrated to the United States in 1951, becoming citizens in 1959. Even though retired from Dahl Motors as a bodyshop repairman he did not stop working. He contributed his many talents in the early development of Holmes Automotive Recycling. Werner enjoyed hunting, fishing and was the past president of the Four Lakes Fishing Club. His many interests included painting, history (especially submarine warfare), puzzles and tinkering.
Werner is survived by his wife, Gisela: three children: Steven (Susan Tuchscherer) Sielemann, Karin (Nate) Kahler and Susan (Ron Holmes) Eiler; grandchildren: Shanon (Kate) Holmes, Jodi (Steven) Justice, Kelsi (Jeff) Kahler and Rachel (Eric) Plante; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Annelore Eggers of Germany.
Per Werner's request no formal service will be held.
