William Darrell Brown "Bill" went home to meet the Lord on January 17, 2011. Bill was born in Donnellson, Illinois on October 23, 1933, to William and Golda (Turner) Brown. He is survived by the love of his life, Lori Brown whom he married June 3, 1959. Together they raised four children they were always proud of: Jodi (Willie) Norgaarden, of Rosemount, MN, Shelley Brown-Giebel (Tom) of Eldorado, Bill Brown (Michelle Redman) of Appleton and Robin (Matt) Schroeder of Fond du Lac. He adored his grandchildren: Katelyn, Crina, Rylee, Alivia and Mersaydee. He is survived by his sister, Cheri Johnson and nieces, Kim and Keri; many loved aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by a very special friend, Dave (Eileen) Sabel.

Bill entered the United States Marine Corp. in 1952, where he served in Korea. He was a decorated war veteran. He attended Park High School in Racine, WI. He worked at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac for twenty nine years. Bill was a member of Terrace Shore E-Free Church in Green Lake. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion in Princeton. He was an active outdoors man and enjoyed many outdoor activities. God was his strength throughout his life and he was exemplified in all aspects of his life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Goldie, father, William and stepfather, Hubert.

A celebration of life will be held at Terrace Shores Church (W3278 County Road K, Markesan) in Green Lake on Saturday, January 22, 2011, at 12 Noon, with Pastor Gary Zacharias officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Bill will be laid to rest at the Evangelical Lutheran St. John's Church Cemetery in Princeton.
